We have observed the resilience of both people and businesses over the past 18 months, and evolved our business with the changing needs of our people around both life and work priorities. We’ve seen our fair share of change, recently we’ve farewelled our longtime Experience Director Andrew Millar, and our CE, Antony Dixon. In addition to farewells, there have also been many welcomes across our team. In particular, a warm welcome back to our founder, Nic Gibbens, who will rejoin our Senior Leadership team in an operational capacity, as we take care to appoint new senior talent to our team.
We had further recognition last month with our contact tracing app, Rippl, awarded an honourable mention in Fast Company’s Innovation by Design Awards for 2021 (Pandemic Response category). Rippl was an unexpected product build for us last year, with the NZ wide lockdown in March 2020 serving as the catalyst to experiment with a contact tracing solution for NZ businesses.

The last few months have seen some great experiences for our team, and special opportunities for local youth too.
In August, our Experience Director and iOS Developer joined Young Enterprise’s 2021 Entrepreneurs In Action event. Andrew and Melina mentored six high school students from across NZ, competing against other student groups in a range of business challenges. A great learning opportunity for students and our team alike!
Last month, we proudly joined Summer of Tech’s Meet and Greet event to connect with 25 enthusiastic student developers and have made offers to two fabulous people! We’re excited to have Issac Young (Mobile Developer Intern) and Shahil Khan (Support Engineer Intern) join our team this summer. Issac and Shahil join us on 5 November – it’s going to be a sizzling summer ahead!
